I am Tijl Koenderink, a Dutch entrepreneur, learning-addict and life-experience seeker. I strive to always be moving and growing, while remaining authentic and in contact with myself and the people around me.
My vision
I see life as a challenge of fulfilment and self-actualisation. I see it as our mission and challenge to make the most of who we are and what we can be. I truly believe that being on that journey will give you the most happiness rather than reaching any goal.
My company, Dare 2B has as its motto:

My life-mission
I inspire and motivate others to be all they can be, by both being an example of what is possible when one whole-heartedly and passionately applies oneself and by gathering knowledge from various sources and making it available to those who can apply it positively while fully living and appreciating every day of my life.
Interestingly enough I wrote this mission down a few years ago, and I haven’t really changed it a lot apart from the last little addition, to live fully and appreciate. I guess that is a good sign…
So how do I do that?
What do I do?
I run my company, Dare 2B which is a training and coaching company. My main product is the ‘Learn-to-Learn’ transformation I offer. I develop the materials myself based on varied trainings and theories I’ve been exposed to. Consequently I give the training to teachers and trainers of all different backgrounds.
Learn-to-Learn?
For most people learning is kind of a grey area. There is motivation and a source to learn from and a desired outcome. But the area in between is like a black box. It’s akin to saying that you have a car and fuel and a place to go. This is all well when the whole things functions perfectly. But what if it fails to work? The Learn-to-Learn methodology teaches you to dissect the learning process based on three different viewpoints. The combination of these allows you to pinpoint every part of learning and to solve possible problems that arise and maximise the effectiveness of your strengths.
How does this transformation work?
As opposed to slightly tinkering with your learning or teaching one technique or the other I aim for a transformation in the way you approach learning. From Feldenkrais I learned the progression of Impossible > Possible > Easy > Elegant. What my training does is change your entire approach and paradigm of learning. For most people something is either possible to learn, or impossible. This is a fixed state. What I show you is that with the right approach anything can be learned. Some things might take more time and effort than others but it is never impossible.
The training is structured so that you receive a starting workshop in which you learn the basics and applications. From there you get 3 months of time to apply it, while you are being supported by weekly e-mail reminding you of the theory. After three months you get a refresher day, and build upon what you have. In this time you can also report on your successes and challenges so we can work on those together. Then another 3 months and then the final day where the final transfer is made.
This process I am now teaching to teachers, trainers and coaches to help everybody get more of their potential available.
My current mission
In august 08 I went to a 10-day meditation retreat (Vipassana by Goenka). There I had a lot of realisation, one of them being that I take my current work and mission extremely seriously. This in the sense that I have met hundreds of individuals who really get stuck in the schooling system. If the only loss there would be that the students wouldn’t learn as much as they could the problem wouldn’t be all that big, but often this has an emotional impact that lasts a life time. Lack of self-value, lack of desire to learn and in general, less options in life.
I believe that every human being does the best he can within his or her abilities. Unfortunately the focus of most people is extremely limitied, of through bad experiences, and their options are even more limited.
I believe schooling is one of the keys to change. Both in the sense of creating options by spreading knowledge, but also by changing beliefs people have about themselves, their abilities and the world.
My mission is to make sure that every school in the Netherlands, and then the world knows about the fact that there is a methodology available to transform the way people learn and make sure they can get it when they want to.

I’m currently looking for people wanting to become a trainer or coach in the Learn-to-Learn methodology. I am looking for mentors to help me grow my business in a sustainable way so that the vessel won’t get in the way of the vision. And I need introductions into schools and educational institutes who could be willing to adopt this methodology. My main focus is in Holland, but if there is sufficient interest anywhere in the (English-speaking) world I’ll be more than happy to be of service.
